Walking out of Darkness

2 Oct 2018

Walking out of darkness – help fundraise for your local charity, Springfield Mind.

Springfield Mind, one of our nominated charities for this year’s awards, works exceptionally hard to put a spotlight on Mental Health and help thousands of people.

On 7th October 2018, the team at Springfield Mind is taking part in ‘Walking out of Darkness’ which takes place from May to October (Mental Health Awareness Week to World Mental Health Day) with events in London, Nottingham, York, Brighton, Bristol, Norwich and, finally, Birmingham. The charity is inviting supporters of the Leamington Business Awards to join them at the Birmingham event.

‘Walking Out Of Darkness’ shows support for people suffering from mental ill-health, enabling them to open up about mental health concerns without fear of stigma. For those who have lost someone to suicide, the day provides an opportunity to obtain assistance and support from charities and services at the Mental Health Wellbeing information festival in Victoria Square.

Join Springfield Mind at ‘Walking Out Of Darkness’ to walk with your family, friends and work colleagues; showing support for those suffering, helping end the stigma, raising mental health awareness and creating zero suicide communities across the country; and fundraise for your local mental health charity, Springfield Mind.

Springfield Mind provides early intervention services to help including Mental Health First Aid courses for employers and Active Monitoring alongside GP surgeries. Their 4 hubs in Stratford, Evesham, Warwick & Leamington Spa offer free one to one support, walk-in sessions, community outreach and workshops.

You can find out more about the fantastic work they carry out at www.springfieldmind.org.uk.
