We are delighted to welcome back our highly qualified judging panel to assess which businesses should be crowned winners of the Leamington Business Awards 2020. We also welcome one new judge to the panel this year.


Mark Ashfield 

Mark is responsible for the day to day running of Harrison Beale & Owen (HB&O) since taking up the role of Managing Director in 2016. Mark has over 20 years’ experience as a Chartered Accountant and became a partner at HB&O in 2006. Specialising in audit, digital accounting and the not-for-profit sector, Mark works with organisations of all sizes, across a range of issues, including business planning, compliance and financial control.

HB&O proudly organised the Leamington Business Awards for three years, concluding their involvement as organisers with a record breaking fundraising year in 2018 however the company will continue to support the awards, as Mark gears up to taking on a new role as one of the judges for the 2020 event.


Louise Richards

Louise Richards established Motionhouse in 1988 with Kevin Finnan MBE, the company’s Artistic Director. Now in its 32nd year, Motionhouse is an internationally acclaimed touring dance-circus company based in Leamington Spa.

Louise is the driving force behind Motionhouse’s trailblazing journey and global success. Her vision shapes the company’s activity and strategic direction and her skill for recognising opportunities has enabled Motionhouse to set rather than follow trends.
Originally a dancer and choreographer, Louise is closely involved with the Motionhouse performing company and it is also under Louise’s direction that Motionhouse has developed a wide reaching education and outreach programme, reaching on average 10,000 young participants annually.

A leader in her sector, Louise is regularly invited to attend and speak at events and acts as a mentor for young performers and arts organisations. She has also developed a range of apprenticeships and professional development strands to the Motionhouse programme.


Sarah Windrum

Sarah is the CEO and Co-Founder of the Emerald Group, an IT consultancy based in Leamington. The Group works with businesses and organisations wanting to harness technology to achieve their desired goals. She is a Board Director of the Coventry & Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership leading on economic growth of the local digital sector and a member of the West Midlands Combined Authority Digital Board working with stakeholders to address the barriers to Digital Transformation across the region.

Passionate about our future digital talent, Sarah is on the Industry Advisory Board at Warwickshire College and working with Ukie and Next Generation Skills to bring their national programmes to our local area. She is also a Governor at Myton School and an Enterprise Advisor at Campion School supporting young people to ensure positive outcomes for all.

Sarah is an active member of the Leamington community organising the Camouflage Festival in 2016 and working with local charities such as the Warwickshire Bears Wheelchair Basketball Team and British Blind Sport.

Roger Scott

Roger has been an active member of the South Warwickshire business community for over 20 years. Starting with Lloyds Bank over 30 years ago. Appointed Area Director South Midlands for Lloyds SME Banking in 2015, previously working as a relationship manager and actively involved in understanding and supporting client business plans. Leading a team of eight relationship managers, Roger has experience of business in wide range of sectors, from start up through to £20m turnover.

With specialist experience in Retail, Construction, Professional Services, Tech, Hospitality and Tourism sectors. Latterly working with Coventry and Warwickshire LEP and University of Warwick Science Park to champion the needs of local businesses.

A real advocate of the Leamington micro economy Roger is really keen to see the best that Leamington has to offer.
